Movement Gallery Performing and Healing Arts Center
to open at 1128 Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg
Movement Gallery in collaboration with Creative Clay Cultural Arts Center, Inc. (
www.creativeclay.org) is opening a brand new performing and healing arts center. Movement Gallery will be offering creative dance and drama education, therapeutic yoga, and creative services for families in a healing arts environment. The classes at Movement Gallery promote the creativity and imagination that spark successful and healthy living for people in every walk of life.
Movement Gallery is a therapeutic performing and healing arts organization created to offer a wide range of movement and creative arts experiences to people of all ages and in many different settings. Jenny Baxley Lee, creator of Movement Gallery, has been offering dance therapy to member artists at Creative Clay, Inc. and residents of assisted living facilities with Alzheimer’s disease. Jenny has been offering restorative Yoga for new moms and babies, and a toddler’s creative movement program known as Little One’s Yoga Play for 2 years in Pinellas county.
Jenny Lee is a dance/movement therapist (
www.adta.org) as well as a writer, vocalist, dancer, and actor. She has 10 years of experience and training in dance, music, and drama performance, including stage managing, choreography for musical theater, and song writing. She has developed dance, creative movement, and expressive arts programs for people of all ages and has professional experience in hospital, school, and community settings.
Please join us for the Grand Opening of Movement Gallery and Creative Clay’s summer art show on Friday, July 14, 2006 from 5:30pm-8pm. This event is free and open to the public.
